• Uses plastic wrap or paper as directed.
• Operates hi/lo lift truck or crane to move articles before or after bundling.
• Cuts lumber or other reinforcing material and includes reinforcing material in bundle or nails lumber together to protect articles during storage or shipment.
• Completes ship tag, inspects material and packages it to ensure customer requirements are met. Initials tags in area specified on tag coupon. Once itâs passed final inspection signs off if he/she is on approved inspectors list. Notifies supervisory team or shipping team if NCM is discovered.

Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts per engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer requirements
Create and edit CMM programs both online and offline as required

Proficiency with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar preferred)
Strong understanding of dimensional inspection and close tolerances
Ability to use basic math to analyze inspection data

Good attendance and reliability

Position Overview
Cardinal Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Welder/Fabricator with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with thick steel materials up to 1”. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment building and repairing heavy-duty industrial equipment. The ideal candidate has a stable work history, brings their own tools, and demonstrates a high level of welding proficiency, reliability, and craftsmanship.Key Responsibilities

Perform heavy MIG welding on thick industrial steel (up to 1” plate and structural components).
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Fabricate, assemble, and repair large steel structures and components.
Use hand tools, grinders, torches, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on equipment as needed.
Work safely in a production environment while following all company safety protocols.

Requirements

Must have own tools (basic mechanical and fabrication tools).
Stable work history â 2+ years at previous jobs (no job hopping).

Shift & Schedule

MondayâThursday, 6:00 AM â 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)

Set up and operate CNC vertical milling centers, CNC lathes, and manual Bridgeport mills per job requirements.
Utilize setup sheets, engineering drawings, and programmer notes to complete machine setups.
Load, set, and adjust tooling as required for each job.
Operate and maintain Bridgeport mills for secondary operations, tooling, and precision modifications.
Change cutting tools and adjust feeds and speeds to optimize performance and part quality.
Monitor machining operations to ensure proper cutting performance and machine utilization.
Perform minor program edits at the machine, including adjustments to G and M codes, as needed.
Set up and operate multiple machines simultaneously.
Conduct in-process and preliminary inspections using standard inspection equipment.
Interpret aerospace and precision manufacturing drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.

Experience & Technical Requirements

CNC Operator: 2â3 years of CNC machine operation experience
CNC Machinist: 4â5 years of CNC machining experience
3â5 years of hands-on experience with manual Bridgeport mills
Experience with CNC lathes and vertical milling centers
Ability to set own tools per job requirements
Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming
Ability to perform minor program edits at the machine
Experience with Fanuc controls, preferably on OKK machines
Knowledge of 2D and 3D machining processes
Proficient with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and blueprint reading
Willingness to possess or supply required personal tools
