Key Responsibilities

Perform SMAW (stick welding) on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys per project specifications
Interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings
Safely set up and operate welding equipment with accuracy
Prepare and inspect weld surfaces, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up
Conduct visual and measurement inspections to verify weld quality
Maintain welding tools and equipment in proper working condition
Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hazard communication standards

Qualifications

• Uses plastic wrap or paper as directed.
• Operates hi/lo lift truck or crane to move articles before or after bundling.
• Cuts lumber or other reinforcing material and includes reinforcing material in bundle or nails lumber together to protect articles during storage or shipment.
• Completes ship tag, inspects material and packages it to ensure customer requirements are met. Initials tags in area specified on tag coupon. Once itâs passed final inspection signs off if he/she is on approved inspectors list. Notifies supervisory team or shipping team if NCM is discovered.

Strip, reassemble, and pour molds/products.
Mix materials in the dry blending and casting areas.
Perform packaging tasks including palletizing, stacking, wrapping, and bagging.

As Electronic Solder Technician your primary duties are to assemble electronic parts, such as circuit boards, and mount them into larger assemblies ensuring the proper soldering and installation of electrics within. This requires the utilization of various hand tools and equipment to perform duties. A Solder Technician must adhere to safety precautions during operations to prevent electrical hazards in the workplace.

Pay: $15 to $16, based on experience

Hours: 7:30AM to 4:00PM, Flexible after 90 days

Responsibilities of the Solder Technician:
• Responsible for carrying out the duties listed below in a proficient, orderly manner all while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.
• Read, understand, and accurately follow drawings, prints, and other reference documentation.
• Able to follow written instructions and provide feedback as to how to improve those Instructions. Identify good and bad solder connections on industry quality standards of IPC or equivalent.
• Effective and correct use of soldering iron and other general purpose hand tools used in PCB assembly.
• Position and align parts in specified arraignments in a jig, fixture, or other holding device. Solder and touch up through-hole components.
• Prepping and hand stuffing through-hole for wave solder.
• Post wave solder inspection/rework, hand soldering components, prepping cables/wires, soldering wires.
• Prepping PCBA's for Conformal Coating spray. Rework of through-hole components, if needed Soldering and rework of surface mount components on printed circuit boards if needed.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition by performing daily organization and cleanup of work area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess good attention to detail and a high degree of precision in order to detect quality defects to prevent further recurrence.
• Must have knowledge and experience with soldering, preferably both Through-Hole and Surface Mount parts.
• Minimum one-year electronic soldering experience or successful completion of internal solder training IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
