Primary Purpose & FunctionCardinal Staffing is seeking experienced Machine Operators and Line Leads to join our Packaging Department. Candidates must have previous machine operation and/or production line leadership experience and be comfortable working in cold and wet conditions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Operate packaging and production machinery safely and efficiently

Assemble and ship kit pack items Mopar/GM Service
Schedule trucks for any returnable supplier dunnage
Set-up extra trucks as needed: JIT or Expedites
Return any components to the warehouse that are in the shipping office or kit pack area that are not regular kit
Move any components from the FEDEX and UPS shelf to skid or warehouse once receipted, notify recipients of packages.
Weekly counts on non-production inventory: pallets, grease, weight reels, etc.
Prepare misc. outbound shipments
Check inside and outside shipping area for clutter or debris and organize as needed
Coordinate: pallet truck, scrap/garbage hopper swap outs and loads from shield warehouse.
Delivery receipts as needed (incoming material)
Reconcile Spraytek shipments/receipts daily and update performance tracking log
Track expedites on premium freight log
Reconcile shipping/receiving records for month end
Direct Hi-Lo drivers to scan & put-away material in proper designated areas: Quality, Warehouse, etc.
Maintain driver log
Make sure all BOLâs are signed and dated daily and put into numerical order

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual TIG welding on components and assemblies
Weld according to prints, specifications, and quality standards
Work with thin-gauge metals and precision welds
Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance
Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Meet production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards

Qualifications

Proven TIG welding experience (manual)

Key Responsibilities:

Load, unload, and transport raw materials (resin) to and from injection molding machines

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for carrying out the duties listed below in a proficient, orderly manner all while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.
• Read, understand, and accurately follow drawings, prints, and other reference documentation.
• Able to follow written instructions and provide feedback as to how to improve those Instructions. Identify good and bad solder connections on industry quality standards of IPC or equivalent.
• Effective and correct use of soldering iron and other general purpose hand tools used in PCB assembly.
• Position and align parts in specified arraignments in a jig, fixture, or other holding device. Solder and touch up through-hole components.
• Prepping and hand stuffing through-hole for wave solder.
• Post wave solder inspection/rework, hand soldering components, prepping cables/wires, soldering wires.
• Prepping PCBA's for Conformal Coating spray. Rework of through-hole components, if needed Soldering and rework of surface mount components on printed circuit boards if needed.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition by performing daily organization and cleanup of work area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess good attention to detail and a high degree of precision in order to detect quality defects to prevent further recurrence.
• Must have knowledge and experience with soldering, preferably both Through-Hole and Surface Mount parts.
• Minimum one-year electronic soldering experience or successful completion of internal solder training IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge or Windows-based computers, MS Word and Excel preferred.
