Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services, is hiring a  Warehouse Associate for a metals and plastic distributer in Northwood, OH. As a Warehouse Associate, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations including: 
  • Shipping & Receiving (Picker / Packer)
  • Quality Assurance 
  • Inventory Control (RF Scanners)
Cardinal Staffing Services, is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $19/hr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).  Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
2nd shift: 3:30PM to 12AM Sunday thru ThursdayTraining: 7PM to 3:30AM Sunday thru ThursdayOvertime is available on a first come, first serve basis. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pull inventory from storage before cutting.
  • Use band saws and shears to cut metals to customer requirements.
  • Record inventory transactions.
  • Return inventory to storage.
  • Wrap and package customer orders to protect them in shipment.
  • Assist in the receiving and storage of materials.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse work areas clean and straight.
  • Basic ability to read and understand fractions and decimals. 
 EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Must be fast and efficient.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds by yourself.
  • Must be familiar with computers and able to enter basic data.
  • Must have worked at least 2 years at each employer.
  • Familiarity with high-volume production environments is desired.
  • Forklift experience is not required for this position.
  • Metals experience is helpful but not required - we will train.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail.
