Job Description:   Laser Programmer (TRUMPF)
 About the Role
 We are seeking a skilled Laser Programmer with TRUMPF experience to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for creating and optimizing CNC laser programs to support efficient production, high-quality output, and material utilization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and enjoys working closely with both engineering and production teams.
What You’ll Do
  • Create, edit, and optimize laser cutting programs using TruTops
  • Develop efficient nests to maximize material usage and minimize scrap
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and job specifications
  • Select appropriate cutting parameters based on material type and thickness
  • Support TRUMPF laser machines (e.g., TruLaser series) on the shop floor
  • Troubleshoot programming and cutting issues to maintain production flow
  • Collaborate with machine operators and engineers for process improvements
  • Optimize cut paths, lead-ins, and pierce points to improve cycle times
  • Maintain program documentation and revision control
  • Ensure all parts meet quality and dimensional requirements
What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5+ years of laser programming experience (TRUMPF preferred)
  • Strong experience with TruTops software
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience in automotive or high-volume production environments
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Experience with automated systems (material towers, load/unload systems)
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
