Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for a qualified Mechanical Machinist in Perrysburg, OH. In this role, you will be working for the largest IBC production network in the US as a Tool and Die Maintenance Technician.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interface with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Repair jigs, fixtures, cutting tools, gauges, or metal dies or molds used in shaping or forming steel parts.
  • Study sample parts, plan and lay out work according to models, blueprints, drawings, or other written or oral specifications- understanding the working properties of metals, in particular steel.
  • Make necessary shop computations and sets up and operates various machine tools and related equipment.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments.
  • Program computers and electronic instruments such as numerically controlled machine tools.
  • Set up, adjust, and perform preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Dismantle machines/equipment, using hand tools and power tools, to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
  • Preserve equipment and tools through proper cleaning and maintaining.
  • Welding
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Good manual dexterity and concentration.
  • Can stand for long periods of time.
  • Can reach within hands and arm’s length, bend and stoop, walk, and stand consistently for long periods of time.
  • Can withstand manufacturing working conditions.
  • Can work in small/confined spaces.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Can read and comprehend procedures as they are written.
  • Well-rounded training in machine shop and tool room practices, usually acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • Related certifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
