Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for Test Operator roles for a company in northern Tallahassee, FL. In this position candidates will be responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of electronic test equipment to perform repetitive testing and limited troubleshooting of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs). The ideal candidate is a reliable, detail-oriented electronics technician with hands-on experience in PCBA testing and manufacturing quality processes. They thrive in a structured, repetitive production environment while maintaining high accuracy and a strong commitment to quality and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate In-Circuit Test (ICT), Flying Probe, or Functional Test equipment according to test specifications and Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs).
- Perform set-up and calibration of electronic test equipment.
- Identify basic production issues such as soldering defects, incorrect parts, or mispositioned components.
- Accurately document test results, record quality defects, and communicate findings to test technicians.
- Follow all safety protocols, ESD requirements, component polarity, soldering standards, and material handling procedures.
- Complete required documentation including time records, labor reporting by Work Order, Assembly, Work Center, and task.
- Record shop floor movements accurately and timely in the reporting system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment consistent with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and follow detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs) and test specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
- Basic understanding of electronics, component identification, and common manufacturing defects.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and complying with all company policies.
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent military training/experience in electronics.
- Relater experience preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete annual training in Safety, ESD, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, material handling, and component identification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
