Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Warehouse Lead for a large distribution center located in Grapevine,TX.  The Warehouse Lead will supervise daily operations of the warehouse including receiving incoming shipments, sorting & transferring materials, and preparing shipments for outbound delivery.    The successful applicant will maintain display high levels of professionalism, lead and develop a team of warehouse associates, and maintain constant communication with warehouse leadership at all times.   The Warehouse Lead will be required to meet key performance metrics as well as manage team to hit KPIs.   This person will work together with other departments and management to maximize productivity in the facility, ensure associates receive proper training and mentorship, and manage hiring/scheduling to ensure that team is properly staffed at all times.  SURESTAFF is invested in their team members!  All temp to perm employees are offered competitive compensation $18.00 as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).   Available shifts include: 2nd Shift MUST be flexiable 7pm-7am  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Work to Health & Safety, Hygiene & Housekeeping procedures within the workplace
  2. Responsible to ensure Quality Standards are met for all production on site
  3. Support the Plant Manager in all aspects of machine production/shift efficiency
  4. Perform and enforce the necessary disciplinary policies and procedures
  5. Organize and direct manpower provided to operate the facility in an organized and efficient manner
  6. Line changes completed within or less than maximum specified timelines
  7. Ensure proper production set up and start up
  8. Complete and ensure all reporting and paperwork systems are updated for production and human resource related documentation
  9. complete all production paperwork before leaving the facility
  10. Operate shift in a clean productive manner at all times
  11. Material and regrind utilization in a cost effective timely manner
  12. Provide support to project development, cost reduction projects and trials
  13. Complete all maintenance tasks required
  14. Ensure all equipment is in functional condition
  15. Troubleshooting
  16. Maintain the organization, supply and condition of tools and tool box
  17. Keep all system information updated according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  18. Liaison with customer as necessary
  19. Attend team lead and production meetings where necessary
  20. Provide vacation coverage for other shifts as required by the management
  21. Perform any reasonable task specified by Management
 COMPENTENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Strong mechanical experience is required
  2. Must be able to read and understand written specification and instructions
  3. Must be able to demonstrate "hands on" working approach with regards to mechanical principles
  4. Be able to work well under pressure
  5. Work with others and give directions as required
  6. Perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible
  7. Problem solve and suggest alternatives as required
  8. Work steadily and safely in a fast paced environment
  9. Assist the team in all areas as needed
 PYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Ability to sit, climb, stand, crawl, bend and walk on a varying basis throughout assigned work schedule
  2. Ability to carry and/or lift up to 50 pounds
