Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for a Service Technician in Sterling Heights.  As a Service Technician for Cardinal Staffing Services, you will be working for a business that is a market leader in environmental technologies, assisting their customer base with highly technical issues. Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with customers, field-based employees and contractors on warranty, service and technical support activities. 
  • Provide customers with service quotations in line with company KPI’s and expectations.
  • Issuing RMA numbers to customers for requested returns and ensuring information is accurately recorded in Companies database. 
  • Manage technical support phone calls, delivering excellent customer service. 
  • Assess items that require repairs and determine if the repair is achievable. 
  • Provide quotes and customer consultation on units that are returned and beyond repair. 
  • Take ownership of the warranty process and ensure inspection of the applicable units is carried out in line with company expectations. 
  • Build trustworthy and personable customer relationships.
  • Qualify through the company training program to be able to deliver training to customers on key tasks such as: calibration, changing of sensors and commissioning of fixed gas detection systems. 
  • Will be required to travel from time to time to support customers and sales related enquiries. 
 Skills & experience:
  • 2 or more years in a technical support role.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention-to-detail. 
  • Experience with managing customer relationships. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • Be experienced with Microsoft Office and computerized systems.
  • Gas detection experience is desirable.
  • A positive and resilient mindset to delivering in fast-paced environments. 
  • Experience in any of the following: Electronics, Product Repair.
  • An Associate Degree in Engineering/Electronic Engineering is desirable.
  • Strong ability to negotiate.
