Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for SMT Operator in Lake Township, OH. As a material handler for Cardinal Staffing Services, you will work in steel warehouse environment. Key Accountabilities:The SMT Operator is responsible to assist in production across the SMT line. This includes retooling line for each Manufacturing Orders (MO), operating SMT line machines, and inspection of pre reflow placement. Additionally assisting the process control engineer in SMD day to day operations as required. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All temporary employees are offered competitive compensation of $14-16 per hour. Generous referral bonuses are available. Shift: 7:30AM to 4PM Monday to Friday (Flexibility after 90 days possible) Responsibilities
- Build electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per manufacturing drawings and instructions
- Retool line for MO’s.
- Assist in maintenance of SMT equipment.
- Assist in count control on fallout and unusable surface mount parts after production jobs.
- Assist in re-work or repair to return unit to operational state as directed
- Run production and test equipment
- Operate hand tools and small power tools and understand their use and function
- Inspect all work to quality standards before passing on to the next operations
- Work with Purchasing to identify any parts that require expediting
- Keep Process Engineer Technician informed of all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect production schedules
- Complete required paperwork neatly and accurately
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional, clear verbal and written communication
- Experience using hand tools, such as soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
- Must have experience reading and interpreting documents such as Bill of Materials, drawing for manufacturing orders
- Preferred working knowledge of operating SMT equipment
- Preferred electronics experience
- Must be able to follow defined procedures and practices
- Must have attention to detail
- Basic computer skills with the willingness to learn specific applications
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to move between work stations.
- Able to stand or sit for long periods throughout the workday
- Able to lift, or team lift, up to 25 lbs
- Able to work inside and underneath machinery.
- Able to work on machinery, on top of steps or on ladders.
