Job Description

A Sandusky manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Robotic Welder/Programmer to join their production team. This position combines day-to-day operation of a robotic welding cell with programming, setup, and quality responsibilities.  Its often known as a Robotic Welding Technician, Automation Technician, or Robot Programmer.  What You’ll Do
  • Program & Operate: Create and adjust robot programs, weld paths, and parameters for MIG welding applications. Load and unload fixtures and verify part fit and weld sequence.
  • Optimize & Troubleshoot: Monitor cycle performance, fine-tune weld schedules, and identify or correct any production issues.
  • Inspect & Maintain: Verify weld quality using measuring tools and visual standards. Perform basic maintenance and calibration on robotic systems.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve efficiency, safety, and consistency.
 What We’re Looking For
  • Experience programming and running industrial robotic welders (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of MIG welding principles and weld quality inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and WPS documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
 Schedule & Pay
  • Steady 1st shift schedule – NO weekends or evenings!
  • $22–$25/hr based on experience
