Cardinal Staffing is immediately hiring for a Shop Repair/Service Coordinator in Southgate, MI.  1st shift = 7AM – 3:30PM         Monday - Friday   PAID WEEKLY            $20.00/hr  The purpose of this job is to perform repairs on malfunctioning machinery throughout the shop.  Essential Functions of Job:  The essential functions of the job include:
  • Identify and address mechanical problem using diagnostic tools, technical manuals and your experience
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems with machinery using various diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Adhering to safety regulations, using appropriate protective equipment and ensuring a safe work environment
  • Manage work to be performed, and manage the repair schedule
  • Promptly meet schedule expectations
  • Monitor repairs and make sure they are up to company standards.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are clean, well-maintained and in good working order
 Skills required to carry out the essential functions include the ability to:
  • A deep understanding of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, shafts and hydraulics
  • The ability to diagnose and fix problems with machinery and equipment
  • Expertise in using various hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and technical manuals
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and procedures

Overtime to accommodate production schedules may be required.  Physical requirements which are part of the essential functions:Standing, sitting, moving, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping hearing or equivalent, sight-visual acuity.Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and tools including fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of control mechanisms; skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects; coordinating the movement of more than one limb simultaneously and bending or stooping repeatedly or continually over time.  Mental requirements which are part of the essential functions:The ability to read and understand work instruction plans, diagrams and specifications.Effectively communicate and interact with others.  Educational and or prior experience requirements include:High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years relevant experience.
