Job Description

Cardinal Staffing is seeking a Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for calibration, data analysis, quality inspections, and documentation management to ensure product compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of internal calibrations and Gauge management and work with internal and external sources to validate
  • Data analysis and investigation of failed parts and work directly with suppliers on resolution
  • Data Collection and analysis of Quality Customer and Plant Metrics
  • Support Receiving Inspection and Packout Activities as Needed
  • Part Sorting and Investigation problem-solving issues internally
  • Document Control Management
  • Measure significant products with calipers, micrometers, rulers, or gauges, Measuring, analyzing, and reporting part details
  • Lab testing on manifold blocks to determine defects
  • Notifying development teams and supervisors regarding the problems found
  • Document manufacturing finalized product defects by reporting Quality Alerts
  • Assisting with various PPAP functions including Gage R&R
Tasks
  • Conduct PNRs (Product review and PNR creation) and PNR Manifold Leak Tests.
  • Perform calibrations and gauge management.
  • Track and analyze quality metrics.
  • Support Quality Inspector Activities (Receiving Inspection and Packout/Shipping).
  • Conduct part sorting and inspecting to support production.
  • Assist with document control management, including organizing and updating process documentation.
  • Maintain BOM templates and verification, aligning with VAST template models.
  • Manage certificate of compliance documentation.
  • Complete readiness checklists for document packages.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies.
  • Create shipping reports for customers.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to use quality measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, gauges, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for tracking metrics and reporting findings.
  • Associate degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes, inspections, and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of calibration procedures and gauge management.
  • Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), including Gage R&R studies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and BOM (Bill of Materials) documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills for document control management and compliance tracking.
  • Understanding of lab testing procedures and defect analysis methods.
  • Experience working with manufacturing and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings to development teams, suppliers, and supervisors.
  • Problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve failed parts and process inefficiencies.
