- Quality inspections & dimensional measurement
- Product testing and sample evaluations
- Packaging validation (ISTA 6)
- Documentation, reporting, and data entry
Current Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Responsibilities of the Quality Lab Technicians:
- Perform dimensional inspections using precision tools including gages, scanners, optical systems, and CMM-based equipment.
- Conduct product and packaging testing including ISTA 6 protocols; set up and operate vibration, drop, and compression equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions.
- Document quality findings, prepare reports, and maintain accurate testing records.
- Support production by identifying quality issues, assisting with containment decisions, and conducting preliminary investigations.
- Record and analyze test data; support continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions.
Required Qualifications of the Quality Lab Technicians:
- Experience with quality inspection, metrology tools, or laboratory/packaging testing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation accuracy.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar data-tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Training/Experience in ISTA 6 Packaging Testing & Validation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in plastics, molding, packaging, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, GMP, or other quality systems.
- Experience supporting audits and corrective actions.
- Training or coursework in metrology, GD&T, SPC, or data analysis.
