Job Description

Job Title: Quality Inspector Technician Job Summary:The Quality Inspector Technician is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet defined quality standards. This role involves inspecting, testing, and measuring materials and products, identifying defects or deviations, and working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components
  2. Finished products using measuring tools and visual checks
  3. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to verify product conformance
  4. Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
  5. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with quality standards
  6. Identify, report, and help investigate non-conformities or defects
  7. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  8. Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, or other industry standards (as applicable)
  9. Communicate quality issues to relevant departments for resolution
  10. Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  11. Maintain a clean and organized inspection area in line with safety standards
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate’s degree is a plus
  2. 2+ years of experience in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment
  3. Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment
  4. Basic understanding of quality control procedures and statistical methods
  5. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
  6. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  7. Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar
  8. Good verbal and written communication skills
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  2. Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  3. Previous use of quality software (e.g., Minitab, QMS systems)
  4. Experience in manufacturing and aerospace
