Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to evaluate and verify the quality of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. This role is responsible for performing visual and functional inspections, documenting findings, and ensuring products meet company and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly attentive to detail, comfortable working with small components, and proficient in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting inspection data.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of circuit boards and electronic components
- Identify defects such as solder issues, missing components, incorrect placement, or damage
- Use inspection tools such as magnifiers, microscopes, and measurement devices
- Follow inspection procedures, quality standards, and work instructions
- Accurately record inspection results and defect data in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Generate basic quality reports and maintain organized inspection records
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to communicate quality concerns
- Ensure non-conforming products are properly documented and segregated
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
- May require use of magnification tools and seated bench work for extended periods
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous quality inspection or electronics manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to inspect small components with a high level of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification
- Able to communicate clearly and accept constructive feedback
- Reliable, steady, and open to coaching and skill development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, tracking logs, and reports)
- Basic understanding of circuit boards and electronic assemblies preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized processes
Optional Qualifications:
- Experience or hobbies involving fine-detail, quality-focused work such as:
- Model building or miniature painting
- Jewelry beading, sewing, embroidery
- Watch or clock repair
- Electronics tinkering (Arduino projects, PC building)
- 3D printing, especially troubleshooting or quality-related tasks
