This role is responsible for inspecting parts and materials to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. Our client in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team on the production floor. This role is responsible for inspecting parts and materials to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts on the production floor
- Identify defects such as scratches, dents, misalignment, or incorrect assembly
- Use basic measurement tools (calipers, gauges, templates)
- Follow work instructions, control plans, and inspection standards
- Sort and contain non-conforming materials
- Complete inspection reports and documentation accurately
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production teams
- Support rework, containment, and quality checks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous manufacturing or inspection experience is an asset but not required
- Basic understanding of quality standards and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team
- Good communication skills
- Experience using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
- Familiarity with automotive or manufacturing environments
- Understanding of basic blueprint reading (not required but an asset)
