Job Description
A manufacturer of air filters in Toledo, OH is seeking an experienced Quality Inspection Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality inspection systems and procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established standards and regulatory requirements by building scalable processes, driving consistency, and embedding a culture of quality across the organization.
Schedule would be 1st shift with a pay rate starting at $27/hr, but could be more based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality inspection systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Establish inspection criteria, testing methods, and documentation standards across production and supply chain processes
- Lead the development of quality control plans, checklists, and audit frameworks
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and process efficiency
- Train and mentor inspection and quality staff on procedures, tools, and best practices
- Manage internal and external audits, including supplier quality assessments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks
- Oversee non-conformance reporting and resolution processes
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection, quality assurance, or quality systems management
- Proven experience developing and implementing quality systems and procedures
- Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or relevant industry standards)
- Experience with inspection tools, statistical analysis, and quality methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
