Job Description

Cardinal Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a leading manufacturing facility in the Toledo area. This position will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting quality systems, conducting audits, and ensuring manufacturing processes consistently meet customer and industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain quality management systems and internal auditing processes
  • Conduct process and product audits to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and related quality documentation
  • Perform process capability studies and support MSA activities
  • Assist with quality investigations, customer concerns, and returned materials
  • Analyze quality data and identify trends to improve manufacturing performance
  • Partner with production, engineering, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, and quality reviews
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Experience with FMEA/PFMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Actions
  • Knowledge of APQP, MSA, and statistical quality techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment required
  • Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience with Minitab, IATF 16949, or ASQ certifications is a plus
