The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager in developing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS) and serves as the direct interface to the Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE) department throughout the program development phase.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Support in developing, implementing and coordinating the Integrated Management System (IMS) to meet or exceed certification requirements.
Maintain, enforce, and apply Corporate Quality programs, policies, and procedures; including evaluating the precision and accuracy of production, testing measurement and analytic equipment.
Prepare monthly reporting and evaluations on Quality performance
Develop, maintain and improve documentation to support production processes and ensure Quality of manufactured product.
Update, maintain and improve program related Quality Documentation (process flow chart, P-FMEA, control plan)
Provide information to support lessons learned efforts based on internal and customer related Quality issues.
Analyze statistical data on measurement systems to proove statistical reliability.
Analyze statistical data on product and processes to evaluate process capability.
Provide training on processes, procedures and standards defined in the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Participate in APQP process, as assigned and assures on time delivery of inputs required customer requirements for PPAP submissions.
Responsible for maintaining 5S in department and periodically participating with audit process.
Support in preparations and participate in activities related to IATF16949, Customer and CCC Audits
Participate in Customer Complaint management in activities relating to root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and tracking within the customer portals
Participate in Vendor Complaint management
Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements

Credentials and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quality Management Systems, or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience in automotive Quality Management
Basic knowledge of Quality Management Tools and Automotive Standards
International experience (working with suppliers, customers and co-workers from a variety of countries)
Authorization to work and reside in the United States
Possess already or have the ability to obtain a passport as this position requires limited, infrequent travel within the United States and abroad
Able to read and interpret text, schematics, blueprints or drawings
20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses)
Normal hearing ability (with or without corrective device)
Ability to differentiate colors, particularly red, green & yellow (normal color vision)
Ability to lift and carry items for short distances:
o less than 20 pounds frequently
o less than 40 pounds occasionally
o greater than 40 pounds infrequently
Ability to bend, kneel, or climb steps/ladders
