Location: Livonia, MI
Schedule: 5am-230pm
Pay: $16.50
Cardinal Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Assurance Technician to support production operations by inspecting packaging materials, monitoring product quality, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company standards. Cardinal Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Assurance Technician to support production operations by inspecting packaging materials, monitoring product quality, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a strong eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on packaging materials and finished goods.
- Verify that products meet customer specifications, labeling requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Document inspection findings, measurements, and test results accurately.
- Monitor production lines to ensure consistent quality and identify defects or issues.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional checks on materials and packaging.
- Assist with non-conformance reports and support corrective actions.
- Ensure all packaging processes align with safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate quality concerns to supervisors, machine operators, and production leads promptly.
- Maintain clean and organized QA workstations and inspection tools.
- Support audits, traceability checks, and quality documentation as required.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, or inspection in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and verify production paperwork, spec sheets, and labels.
- Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, tape measures, gauges, etc.).
- Familiarity with packaging or printing environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects quickly.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout a shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Food Safety Training
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs as needed.
- Work performed in a manufacturing/packaging facility.
- Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
