Job Description
A cored wire production plant is seeking reliable and hardworking Production Workers to join their team in Temperance, MI. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Shifts available: 1st - (7am - 3pm) & 2nd (3pm - 11pm), Monday - Friday with potential daily and weekend work. Pay starts at $17/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
-Operate in a high-paced production environment, standing and moving for extended periods (8+ hours)
-Lift materials up to 50 lbs and climb stairs as needed
-Load machines with raw materials such as powder and steel according to customer specifications
-Retrieve materials from the warehouse and ensure proper handling
-Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including machines, floors, and scrap disposal
-Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
-Load and unload trucks when required
-Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (MOSHA certification required or willingness to obtain)
-Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor conditions
-Willingness to work overtime on short notice
-Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks
-Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools
-Strong attention to safety and detail
-Forklift and crane operation experience is a plus (training/certification provided if needed)

This position involves working in both indoor and outdoor settings, potentially in varying weather conditions, and requires adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
