Cardinal Staffing is partnering with a top Automotive Components Company in the Saline, Michigan area for a First Shift Direct Hire Production Supervisor Opening.
This is a First Shift Direct Hire Full Benefit Bonusable Position with Overtime pay available for any week where working hours exceed 50 hours.
Production Supervisor POSITION SCOPE:  Supervises all aspects of production shift, including manpower and production efficiency. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Daily shift responsibilities including manpower lineups:
    • Operator – assign area
    • Techs – assign presses for setup, quality issues, shut down for mold change, mold changes for setup personnel
    • Material Handler – presses and assembly running and down
    • Maintenance – EOA, PM
  • Unplanned absenteeism coverage, overtime management and tracking, coordination of operator relief break, administrative responsibilities, vacation, payroll etc.
  • Ensure associates are following all applicable systems, policies, and work instructions.
  • Management of workstations; operator sheets, operator training, operator poke yoke, operator concerns, sort/safe launch, defects, containment sheets
  • Daily production reporting.
  • Ensuring timely completion of maintenance work and mold changes.
  • Verification of job cycle times, scrap control and downtime reduction.
  • Timely follow up on tooling and maintenance work orders.
  • Production floor housekeeping & 5S activities
  •  Union relations including operator training, vacation planning and discipline.
  •  Incident / Accident Investigations & follow-up
  • Other duties as assigned or required

 EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS: ·       Two-year (or higher) technical degree or equivalent work experience.·       Above-average Microsoft Office skills.·       Additional Training outlined in the Training Matrices as required. SAFETY, QUALITY, & ENVIRONMENTAL OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
