Livonia, MI
1st Shift 6am-230pm Mon-Fri $15 2nd Shift 3pm-1130pm Mon-Fri $17
Position Summary
Cardinal Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking Linen Sorting Associates to join our healthcare laundry production team in Livonia, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting soiled healthcare linens, gowns, scrubs, towels, and other textiles before they are processed through the industrial laundry system. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production environment, follows strict infection prevention procedures, and is committed to workplace safety and quality.

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for sorting soiled healthcare linens, gowns, scrubs, towels, and other textiles before they are processed through the industrial laundry system. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Sort soiled healthcare linens by product type, color, size, and wash classification.
- Remove non-linen items and report damaged or contaminated products according to company procedures.
- Load sorted linens onto conveyors, carts, or designated bins for washing.
- Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and OSHA safety procedures when handling soiled linens.
- Maintain production goals while ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficient production flow.
- Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems to supervisors.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company safety policies.
- Perform other production duties as assigned.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, laundry, or production experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately sort products.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Perform repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, grasping, and lifting.
- Comfortable working around industrial laundry equipment and conveyors.
- Ability to work in a warm, humid production environment.
- Ability to meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Industrial healthcare laundry facility.
- Exposure to warm temperatures, humidity, noise, and moving production equipment.
- Daily handling of soiled healthcare linens while following infection prevention protocols.
- Fast-paced production environment with repetitive tasks.
- Hair net
- Protective scrubs or company-provided gown/apron
- Safety gloves
- Safety glasses (as required)
- Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes
- Hearing protection (when required in designated areas)
