Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for a Plating Lab Technician for our client’s fastener manufacturing facility in Rockford, IL. The Plating Lab Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining plating and wastewater pretreatment systems, ensuring proper operation through testing, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $24.20 - $27.50 per hour (includes 10% night shift premium; base pay is $22 - $25 per hour) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
Available shift: Overnight, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities and Qualifications of the Plating Lab Technician:
- Perform chemical analysis to ensure proper operation of plating chemistries.
- Monitor and repair plating and wastewater treatment equipment.
- Troubleshoot chemical processes and collaborate with supervisors/managers to optimize operations.
- Operate the wastewater system during night shifts.
- Assist with chemical inventory and ordering.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Class K License (Wastewater Operator Certification) REQUIRED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic maintenance skills/experience.
- Chemical analysis experience.
- ISO/TS 16949 Training (preferred).
- Knowledge of IEPA requirements (preferred).
- Experience with chemical analysis and basic maintenance tasks (preferred)
