Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Metal Processor in Burton MI. Looking for candidates who can also support other keyequipment in a fabrication shop, this including shear, press brake, tube processing, and saws.
What You’ll Do:Operate and maintain our CNC plasma cutting table (Torchmate 6x10 with 150-amp system)
Load material using cranes or forklifts
Run pre-programmed cut files (CAD team provides all files)
Inspect and deburr parts after cutting
Support operation of additional fabrication equipment:
Accurshear
Hydraulic Press Brake
Dragon Tube & Pipe Processing Machine
Horizontal Band Saw
Follow job travelers and quality requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Communicate with the Shop Manager and Leads to support daily priorities
Requirements:
Fabrication or plasma table experience in a job shop or steel environment
Able to read blueprints and follow traveler instructions
Experience or willingness to train on shear, brake, saws, and tube equipment
Comfortable using cranes and forklifts
Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing to take initiative
Shift:
2nd Shift (3:30pm - 12am)
Pay:$20 - $25/hr
