Job Description
Cardinal Staffing seeking a Paint Mill Cleaner with strong mechanical aptitude to join a busy manufacturing team in Sandusky. This position involves fully disassembling industrial paint mills, cleaning each part using solvents and chemicals, and reassembling them for production use. This is a hands-on, skilled support role that plays a critical part in equipment maintenance and paint quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble paint mills and associated equipment for routine cleaning
- Clean all parts using approved solvents, chemicals, and hand tools
- Reassemble mills accurately to ensure proper operation
- Inspect components for wear or damage during cleaning
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following all PPE and safety protocols
- Communicate with team leads and maintenance on any equipment concerns
- Mechanically inclined – able to use hand and power tools confidently
- Experience with disassembly/reassembly of equipment or machinery preferred
- Comfortable working with cleaning solvents and chemicals
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, paint line, or maintenance setting a plus
