General InformationJob Title: PackerBase Pay: $15 / Hour; wage increase after skill set advancement (usually within 6 months)Metal Stamping facility in Dundee MI is seeking Entry Level Packing Associate - Monday thru Friday 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturday 6 hoursThe position is responsible for packaging by hand a wide variety of products and materials while ensuring safety, accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.Requirements• Counts, measures, and weighs materials and products• Removes defective products or materials, placing them in specified areas for handling• Constructs and seals boxes using hand tape gun• Examines containers/boxes, products, and materials for quality control and ensures packing requirements are met• Applies labels to containers, bags, boxes or products• Enters packing, order and product information into inventory system or other documents• Stacks boxes on pallets• Always organizes work center for orderliness• Willingness to share new ideas to make processes better• Willingness to work in a team environment• Regular attendance is required• Performs other related duties as assignedEducation/Experience• Strong work ethic and positive attitude• Valid driver’s license• Reliable transportation• High school diploma or equivalent• Ability to follow instructions• Reliable, responsible, dependable at fulfilling obligations• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans• Ability to assess products for quality compliance• Good time management skills• Basic computer and math skills• Good judgment and decision-making skills• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, distinguish color, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent lifting, twisting, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, walking and standing for 8+ hours per day.• Physical ability to do work that requires lifting/pulling/carrying weights ranging from 1 to 50 lbs.• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment• Ability to operate computers that are part of the manufacturing process• Ability and willingness to cross-train in other areas• Willingness to work 40 hours per week with possible mandatory/voluntary over-time• Willingness to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 60 to 95 degrees F• Ability to multi-task• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, inter-department personnel, and other department heads
 Preferred
• At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work
