Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring Coater Machine Operators for a client in Hampshire, IL. The Coater Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery that applies adhesive to plastic films used for protective coverings on new TV screens and other electronics. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include night shift: 5 PM - 5 AM, Sunday to Thursday. Overtime Fridays as required.  Responsibilities of the Coater Machine Operator:
  • Operate coater machines to apply adhesive to plastic films.
  • Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing plastic center rolls using a pulley system.
  • Monitor machine operations with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Perform required quality testing on products produced.
  • Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in the changeover process, preparing the machine for the next production run.
  • Shadow trainers and follow standard operating procedures during the training period.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs during the shift.

Required Qualifications of the Coater Machine Operator:
  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from trainers.
