Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NC Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain NC/CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision metal parts by setting up and operating numerical control machines in accordance with company standards and engineering blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate NC/CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, grinding).
- Load raw materials and tooling, and align and secure workpieces.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings to improve performance and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain detailed records of production runs and machine maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control to troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an NC/CNC Operator or similar role.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multiple types of NC machines.
- Knowledge of ISO and quality assurance procedures.
- Forklift operation certification (if applicable).
Work Environment:
- Full-time position may require shift work or overtime.
- Manufacturing floor environment with noise, moving machinery, and use of personal protective equipment.
