Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hard Chrome Plater and Mold Shop Fabricator to join a local company in Toledo, OH The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying metal coatings to various components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Schedule: 2nd shift 3:30pm-12midnight Monday – Friday, every other SaturdayPay: $18+ (Base on Experience)
Duties
  • Operate plating equipment and machinery in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assemble and fabricate components as needed for plating processes.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to prepare surfaces for plating.
  • Conduct quality inspections of plated items to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the factory or warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and production goals.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with chemicals and machinery.
  • Assist in the operation of forklifts for material handling when necessary.
Skills
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the plating process.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with assembly line processes and techniques.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Requirements
  1. At least 3 years at each employer
  2. Must be attentive to detail, able to follow written procedures and continue with process in a production style manner 
  3. Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs
  4. Keep excellent written records, self-starter with mindset to be great at what you do and expand
  5. Strong mathematic skill with ability to read a tape measure
  6. Ability to read blueprints and designs
  7. Mechanical experience 
  8. Knowledge and experience with hand tools
  9. MIG Welding, Overhead Crane Operation, or Forklift driving experience a plus
