Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for an PLC Controls Programmer for a manufacturing company in Sterling Heights, MI.
Cardinal Staffing Services, is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation between $35-50/hr based on experience as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
This is a 1st shift position, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekends may be required. This position is a Direct Hire.

Responsibilities of the PLC Programmer:
- Design, program and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional terms to integrate PLCs with other control systems, such as HMI and SCADA
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Develop customized control algorithms and motion profiles to optimize system performances.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in PLC programming and motion control technologies.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives within the organization.
- 5-7 years of experience in PLC programming required. Allen Bradley and Siemens experience is a plus.
- Knowledge in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet IP, Profibus, ProfNet, I/O Link, 3rd part I/O devices such as Turck, Keyence, Balluff) and motion control interfaces (SINAMICS).
- TIA Portal, Studio 5000 and Logix Hardware Platforms.
- PanelView ME & SE based HMI Hardware
- Kinetix Servo Drive Systems a plus.
- Prior experience in the aerospace industry or similar highly regulated environments is a plus.
