Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Metal Processing Machine Operator for a large, well-known client in Northwood, OH.
We are looking for an experienced machine operator with a strong background in material handling and quality control. The right candidate will have the ability to read work orders, use measuring tools, and ensure products meet specifications. Experience with forklifts, cranes, and warehouse operations is required.

Available shifts: 2nd shift 2:30PM to 11PM (same day overtime possible)

We are looking for an experienced machine operator with a strong background in material handling and quality control. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain certification as a Material Handler (Pick, process, and pack orders)
- Set up, operate, and maintain cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment
- Pull, inspect, and verify materials prior to processing
- Safely set up and operate equipment according to work order specifications
- Process materials in alignment with set-up notes and production requirements
- Verify product quality using measuring tools and record results per sampling plans Communicate with sales representatives regarding order clarifications or changes Recommend process improvements within the manufacturing area
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Accurately manage and update material identification tags
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist with packaging materials per work instructions
- Operate weighing scales and record inspection data
- Identify, document, and separate scrap or non-conforming materials
- Provide feedback on machine performance and product quality
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Train team members when required
- Support lean manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years of machine operation experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Experience using hand-held measuring tools
- Previous warehouse experience, preferably in the metals industry
- Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Saw experience
