Job Description

Job title: Metal Finisher Job Summary:Our client in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our team. This position is responsible for finishing, smoothing, and polishing metal parts to meet quality and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand tools, grinders, and finishing equipment in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Grind, sand, polish, and buff metal parts to required specifications 
  • Remove excess material, burrs, and sharp edges from metal components 
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment (grinders, sanders, buffers) 
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met 
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area 
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE 
  • Assist with other general labor tasks as needed 
 Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in metal finishing, grinding, or fabrication preferred 
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools required 
  • Ability to read measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers (preferred) 
  • Strong attention to detail and quality 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods 
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
