Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring for a Mechanical Technician in Toledo, OH for a one-of-a-kind company.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Technician to work in their Mold Shop. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, enjoy hands-on work with tools, and be responsible for applying metal coatings to various components while ensuring high-quality finishes. This role also involves automotive-style mechanical work, small engine repair, and other hands-on tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate plating equipment and machinery according to established procedures
- Assemble and fabricate components for plating processes
- Use hand tools and power tools to prepare surfaces and perform mechanical repairs
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the factory or warehouse
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Follow safety protocols when working with chemicals, machinery, and automotive tools
- Assist with forklift operation for material handling when necessary
- Perform under-the-hood and body work on vehicles, small engine repair, and mechanical troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools
- Experience in automotive repair, plating, or small engine repair preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, designs, and tape measures
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work efficiently in a production-style environment
- Experience with MIG welding, overhead crane operation, or forklift driving is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience at each previous employer
- Self-starter mindset with drive to excel and expand skills
- Ability to maintain accurate written records
