Job Description

 Cardinal Staffing is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Union Based Facility in Warren Michigan.  The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and safety. *This is NOT Building Maintenance**Candidates MUST have their own tools* Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Include:   
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives, and electrical conduit installation
  • Perform Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and diagnose malfunctions
  • Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts
  • Make approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needs
  • Repair or replace defective parts; lubricate and clean components
  • Start and test devices to verify proper performance after repairs
  • Maintain, install, and repair electrical equipment
  • Keep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records; ensure all revisions to equipment and tools are properly documented
  • Maintain 5S standards in the shop and work areas
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, and written)
  • Exercise the authority and responsibility to stop the production line if a safety or quality issue arises
  • Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs as required
 Required Qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:    
  • Minimum 3-5 years maintenance experience
  • Skilled manufacturing maintenance experience required
  • Experience in maintenance support of a large production facility preferred
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
 Available shifts:  
  • 2nd shift and 3rd shift: currently working 6 days, 12 hours. 
  • Must have flexibility with schedule.
  • Must be available on Sundays if needed.
  • $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
