Position OverviewOur client in Roseville, MI is seeking a dependable Material Handler / Kitter to support aerospace manufacturing and production operations. This role is responsible for receiving, staging, kitting, and delivering materials to production areas to ensure uninterrupted workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and understands the importance of accuracy and traceability in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and store raw materials, parts, and hardware per company and quality requirements
- Pick, kit, and stage materials for production and work orders according to schedules
- Deliver kits and materials to manufacturing areas in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory accuracy using ERP systems, scanners, or manual tracking logs
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
- Ensure proper material identification, labeling, and traceability per aerospace standards
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts (as required)
- Maintain clean, organized stockroom and production staging areas
- Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to production, planning, and quality teams
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of material handling, kitting, or warehouse experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Ability to follow work instructions and production schedules
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Aerospace or regulated manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.)
- Forklift or powered industrial truck experience or certification
- Knowledge of material traceability and lot control
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment
- May require PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, or steel-toe shoes
- Fast-paced, team-oriented production setting
