Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler 
Job Summary:
 Our client in Roseville, MI is seeking a dependable and organized Material Handler to support their manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, distributing, and preparing materials and components needed for production. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies.
  • Accurately pick, stage, and kit materials and components based on work orders or production schedules.
  • Deliver materials to the appropriate production area in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, tracking, and storage of materials.
  • Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • Communicate any shortages, damaged materials, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or kitting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory software or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position; may include overtime or weekend shifts.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and temperature changes.
