Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services hiring a Material Handler/Tugger for a Union Facility located in Warren, MI.  Responsibilities of the Material Handler Include: Providing essential shop floor support for receiving, material handling, staging, inventory control, and shipment activities. This role ensures accurate, timely, and safe movement of materials in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials.
  • Record all material movements in the ERP system.
  • Deliver materials to production lines and maintain proper stock levels.
  • Perform cycle counts and support FIFO inventory rotation.
  • Complete forklift and dock inspections at start of shift.
  • Maintain clean, organized storage and work areas (5S).
  • Operate forklifts safely; maintain certification (training provided).
  • Report discrepancies, damaged material, or equipment issues immediately.
  • Assist with shipping paperwork and update receiving logs.
  • Perform other material handling duties as needed.
 Experience & Skills
  • Forklift certified or able to become certified within 8 weeks.
  • 2+ years of material handling or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills; MS Office helpful.
  • Ability to stand/walk 6–8 hours and lift to 35 lbs.
 Available shifts: 
  • C Shift: Monday-Tuesday 4:30pm-3:00am, Friday-Saturday 5:00am-3:30pm
  • $16.51 per hour.
