Job Description
Cardinal Staffing Services hiring an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a union automotive manufacturing facility located in Warren, MI. *This is NOT Building Maintenance**Candidates MUST have their own tools* The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal production performance. This role supports plant-wide safety initiatives and follows Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) principles in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. - Support and uphold company health and safety initiatives to maintain a safe workplace.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Assist in establishing and tracking plant-wide safety and environmental goals.
- Promote employee awareness in safety, environmental responsibility, ergonomics, and wellness programs.
- Identify and correct safety concerns within the facility.
- Hold team members accountable for following safety procedures and training requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
- Conduct daily equipment start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Assist with installation of new equipment and coordinate with contractors as needed.
- Maintain and track spare parts inventory.
- Complete in-house maintenance projects and maintain accurate documentation.
- Log daily shift notes to ensure clear inter-shift communication.
- Follow company policies and business objectives in daily operations.
- Maintain ethical business practices while supporting overall plant performance.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) systems.
- Experience working with six-axis robotics.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Must supply own tools.
- Training on C Crew: Monday-Tuesday: 4:30pm-3:00am and Friday-Saturday: 5:00am-3:30pm, then moving to 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:00am
- Starting pay $25.65 per hour
