Machine Repair   direct-hirePay- $30.80/hr2nd shift- 2:30pm-10:30pmLocation:  Toledo, OH What you will do
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in industrial machinery and equipment, such as conveyor systems, motors, pumps, compressors, and production line equipment.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections to identify and address potential equipment malfunctions, worn components, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Utilize various tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment to analyze and troubleshoot machinery problems and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components, including replacing or repairing defective parts, bearings, gears, belts, and seals.
  • Test machinery and equipment after repairs or maintenance to ensure proper functioning and identify any remaining issues.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule repairs, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations or observations.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and minimize risks associated with machinery repairs.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment as needed.
What is required
  • Holds a journeyman’s card for Machine Repair is preferred
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as additional technical training or certification in industrial maintenance or a related field, is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Machine Repairman/Technician, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of industrial machinery, components, and systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Good knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to machinery repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Flexibility to work in different shifts and respond to emergency repairs when necessary
