Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring MIG/TIG Welders for a large, well-known client in the DEKALB, IL surrounding areas.  Ideal applicants should have experience in TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum, or experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding tools. Cardinal Staffing Services, is invested in their team members!  All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $25 an hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).   Available shifts include 1st shift. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Responsibilities:
  • Read CAD drawings and plan layout for pressure vessel heads and shells.
  • Cut holes for nozzles and weld pressure vessel and assembly components using GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW.
  • Perform welding in 1G, 2G, and 6G positions, in accordance with Section IX of the ASME Code.
  • Inspect visually for aesthetic quality and adhere to the specified size of welds and dimensional correctness as per the CAD drawings.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of Welding/Fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings.
  • Basic/Intermediate math skills.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and excellent attendance record.
