Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is looking for qualified MIG/TIG Welders for a facility in Southgate, MI.
**MUST have MIG/TIG experience. You WILL be required to pass a weld test.**
1st shift 7:00AM-3:30PM Monday - Friday $18.00/hr Paid WeeklyMay be asked to work on Saturday if production needs are higher than normal.
The purpose of this job is to perform MIG & TIG welding on aluminum pieces to repair items or equipment as needed and instructed.
Essential Functions of Job: The essential functions of the job include:

Physical requirements which are part of the essential functions: Standing, sitting, moving, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping hearing or equivalent, sight-visual acuity.Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers including fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism; skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects; coordinating the movement of more than one limb simultaneously and bending or stooping repeatedly or continually over time. Mental requirements which are part of the essential functions: The ability to read and understand work instruction plans, diagrams and specifications.Effectively communicate and interact with others. Educational and or prior experience requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year relevant experience or schooling. The ability to read and understand work instruction plans, diagrams and specifications. - Interpreting blueprints
- Selecting appropriate tools and metals
- Measuring and assembling metal pieces
- Achieving desired strength and appearance of welded joints
- Inspecting fabricated materials for adherence to specifications and quality standards
- Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Understand and follow directions and rules
- Safely and effectively operate various machinery and equipment
- Produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet specifications and expected output levels
- Interact appropriately and collaborate with fellow employees and management with other employees and management
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service
- Work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment with the flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task at different levels
