Load Inspector/Material Handler
Job Description
Cardinal Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Load Inspector / Material Handler for a company in Toledo, OH. This role is responsible for inspecting inbound and outbound can and end loads for damage, cataloging any issues, and salvaging damaged pallets through banding and wrapping. The ideal candidate will have strong forklift skills and a solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
Schedule would be Monday - Saturday (or as scheduled), 1st shift, 7am - 5pm or 8am - 6pmStarting Pay: $22.60/hr

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect inbound and outbound loads for damage and document findings thoroughly.
- Catalog inbound damage and identify potential issues with outbound shipments.
- Salvage damaged pallets using banding and wrapping techniques.
- Operate a forklift to move and reposition loads as needed (minimum of 3 years' experience required).
- Perform audits of loads, including photographing and logging condition and placement.
- Support the shipping and receiving team as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating a forklift (certification preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with shipping and receiving operations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer or mobile device proficiency for photo documentation and audit records.
