Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring for a IT Technical Support Specialist in Tallahassee, FL. As a Senior IT Technical Support Specialist for Cardinal Staffing Services, you will be working for a county government department in a highly technical position supporting and maintaining a wide variety of in-house technologies and in-house assets.*A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years’ experience are required for this role, or 7+ years’ experience with accompanying certifications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all IT hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Ensuring optimal performance of desktops, laptops, tablets, printing/scanning devices, mobile devices, and camera/presentation equipment.
  • Performing the technical tasks required to analyze and evaluate data network hardware/software configurations and connectivity issues including authentication and security systems.
  • Research, design, document, and modify system specifications throughout the production life cycle and managing servers to support tech team enterprise solutions.
  • Support of vendor-supplied solutions which includes coordination and collaboration with outside representatives, configuration of system parameters, scripting, report generation, and training of end users.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform infrastructure improvements and upgrades.
  • Write/script code, configurations, reports, and/or web pages to enhance functionality and/or performance of systems as necessary.
  • This role may include training of new or less experienced team members when needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external employees and vendors.
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary support to the team.
  • Capacity to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of given instructions, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Helpful licenses include- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certification, Cyber Security Certification, Network+ Certification.
  • Must have technical experience and proficiency in at least 2 of the following areas- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Presentation system, Microsoft Office Suite Support, Mobile Device Management (MDM), TV/Streaming Broadcasting, Group management (AD), Microsoft O365 Administration, Microsoft O/S, Video wall system, Anti-virus system, Mobile Device (with and without VPN), Cybersecurity analysis, Inventory control system, Microsoft Servers, Sound system, Multi-agency/enterprise solutions, Application control system, Network printer management, Password management (AD), Smartsheet with complex forms and logic.
8:00am-5:00pm (schedule has some light flexibility) | M-F (Saturdays possible if on-call service for natural disasters is needed)|$22-$26 per hour based on experience.
