Job Title: Hilo Driver / Baler Operator
Location: Taylor, MI
Shift: 1st Shift | 5:30AM – 2:00PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Primary Purpose & Function
Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Hilo Driver / Baler Operator to support warehouse and production operations at our Taylor, MI facility. This position is responsible for operating forklifts safely, transporting materials throughout the warehouse, and operating baler equipment to manage recyclable materials and production waste. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklift (Hilo) to move materials, pallets, and finished products throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Supply production lines with materials as needed
- Operate cardboard and plastic baler equipment following safety procedures
- Remove and process recyclable materials and production scrap
- Stack, organize, and stage pallets in designated warehouse locations
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and work area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with additional warehouse and production duties as assigned
- Previous forklift/Hilo experience required
- Prior baler operator experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Frequent forklift operation and material movement
- Ability to work in warehouse temperatures and production environments
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
