Job Description

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for a company in Toledo, OH.  As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide support to all areas of Human Resources, such as: 
  • Recruitment
  • Compensation
  • Labor Relations
  • Disciplinary Actions & Counseling
  Cardinal Staffing Services, is invested in their team members!  All temporary employees are offered competitive compensation ($22-25) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).  Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Back up to HR Manager, assist HR Manager with all necessary projects and issues
  • Responsible for recruitment and staffing of hourly personnel; conducting the entire process from interviews to onboarding and orientation, then follow-up on 30-60-90-day reviews
  • Keep our HRIS updated and accurate, along with administrating the benefits for active and retired employees.
  • Processes applications, employment, enrollment, pay change, informational and other confidential forms for active personnel.
  • Updating various databases
  • Responsible for time and attendance and administering discipline relating to attendance
  • Ensure that all posting and employee notice board are updated
  • Actively involved in the grievance process and handling all employee questions, complaints, inquiries while using a resolution-orientated mind-set
  • Provide support to HR Manager in Safety, such as maintenance of OSHA Logs, plant safety tours, and safety committee meetings. 
  • Assist with employee engagement activities throughout the year to maintain company morale and well-being.
  • Any additional HR responsibilities assigned by the HR manager

Skills and Abilities:
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
  • Excellent personal, organizational and communications skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
