Cardinal Staffing is hiring dependable General Labor associates to support production at a leading air-conditioning products manufacturer in Romulus, MI. You’ll assist with basic assembly, machine tending, material handling, and packaging while meeting quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform light assembly of HVAC components (counting, sorting, inserting, fastening).
- Stage, load, and unload parts and materials; move product between work areas.
- Machine tending: start/stop equipment, feed parts, remove finished pieces, and alert leads to issues.
- Quality checks: visual inspection, counting, labeling, and documenting nonconformances.
- Packaging & palletizing finished goods per work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation; follow 5S and safety rules.
- Use basic hand tools; read simple job travelers/labels; update production tags as needed.
- Support team leads with other duties as assigned.
- 6+ months in manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor preferred (will train dependable candidates).
- Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 40–50 lbs regularly.
- Basic math and counting/labeling accuracy; able to follow written work instructions in English.
- Attendance & reliability are a must; teamwork and communication skills required.
- Steel-toe boots/shoes required; other PPE provided.
- Background/drug screen may be required by client; E-Verify participation.
- Operate press brake and read blueprints
- Fast-paced production floor with routine walking, standing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
- May involve exposure to moderate noise and moving equipment; follow all PPE and safety policies.
