Job Description

General Labor/Production SupportSUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for assisting manufacturing operations mainly in the areas of welding, stamping, and quality check as needed. Assignment and equipment may change each day and periods throughout the day, dependent upon the situation and department you are assisting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Weld Cell Operations Production Support Sets parts into jigs and cycles the robot  Performs quality checks & records results at specified intervals  Resets welder, feeder, or robot as required  Communicates with Team Leader regarding issues that affect safety, productivity, or quality  Maintains required production efficiency by keeping all robots in motion, quickly & effectively troubleshooting, and tote changes  Ensures finished product is properly packed to prevent damage to parts  Applies correct product label & placement on proper container  Records all downtime & scrap  Follows Lock Out process when entering the robot area  Maintains the equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition  Stamping Parts Packing Operations o Responsible for operation of any progressive press or line pacer  Collects parts from conveyor and packages into proper container  Performs quality checks & records results at specified intervals  Communicates with Team Leader regarding issues that affect safety, productivity, or quality  Maintains required production efficiency by keeping the press running & quickly managing tote changes  Ensures finished product is properly packed to prevent damage to parts  Applies correct product label & placement on proper container  Records all downtime & scrap  Maintains the equipment and work area in a clean and organized condition
