Pay Range: $28-32.00
Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading automotive manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring all production and facility equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production operations.

Cardinal Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a leading automotive manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring all production and facility equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, conveyors, presses, robotic systems, and mechanical components.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on all manufacturing and facility equipment according to schedule.
- Install, adjust, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Replace defective parts, motors, and control components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts to reduce breakdowns and increase equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records of repairs, parts used, and downtime.
- Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and company standards for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production operators to ensure efficient workflow and equipment functionality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery, presses, robots, and conveyors.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and basic machining is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
